I had no idea that I was going to feel
soooooo exhausted when I brought my first born home.
Sure, I guessed I'd be a little tired but I was in no way
ready for that mind numbing fatigue that most new parents
feel.
Since having my second baby, I have learned the fine art of
relaxing and taking time out for myself. Despite being
a parent, you have to remember that you are YOU FIRST!
I cannot stress enough how important it is to look after
yourself. Asking your partner, mother, friend or
babysitter to look after your baby for an hour or so while
you have some time out is not in the lest selfish ... it is
ESSENTIAL! If anyone tries to make you feel quilty, I
suggest you ignore them!
Once a week, try to get a couple of hours for yourself and
of course, offer your partner the same amount of time out.
Great "time outs" are
-
Reading a
shamelessly romantic novel.
-
Giving
yourself a manicure or pedicure (how can you not feel
sexy with french polished toes?)
-
Breakfast
in a cafe.
-
Go to a
comedy movie by yourself, laugh out loud and enjoy your
own company!
-
Sit
quietly and meditate, using creative visualisation.
Meditation is one of the best forms of relaxation you can
do.
For a limited time only, if you purchase our e-book
"Sleeping Baby Happy Baby" you will also receive a bonus
Meditation Guide e-book. You will not only help your
baby to sleep through the night but you will help yourself.
So be YOU first and foremost and then you can continue being
the best parent you can be!
Congratulate yourself knowing that you are doing well.
To you!
With
many thanks, and if I can help you in any way
please let me know.
